Karen Kunc inspired me!

From afar. She gave a demo near here but of course I was unable to go. Such is life with a family with a young child I guess. I miss classes and stuff like this all the time. I had heard of her in the sense that her name seemed very familiar and I had had my work likened to hers. But I guess I never got around to investigating. Too bad for me because I can see it too and it lights a fire in me.

Built on the inspiration from a particular piece I was referred to the other day on Flickr. This one has more of "me" in it so it feels like more than a study. I did the "copy" as a way to document the inspiration for future use in my own hand. To inspire myself through making it instead of merely looking. That way the lessons will sink into my head better.

I need to print!

She taught at the University of Nebraska when I was a student there, but I didn't get to take a class with her.

That is really cool that she taught where you went, but too bad that you weren't able to take advantage of her while you were there.
