Based off of a quick snapshot I made this print. I like it, what I like best about it is how different it is from my earlier portraits. I tried to challenge myself and make something outside what is familiar to me, I think that I was pretty successful. This time I opted a "less is more" policy and kept my carving minimal and my shapes simple. The contrast between light and dark is highlighted in this print. To give it more depth I printed the blue on top of a layer of yellow printed from a sheet of (highly grained) luan plywood with a few lines carved out of it.

Thanks. I really need to try chine colle now that I have a press! I found a really good set of instructions awhile back that I need to look up again. There are too many things that I want to try.
