Brown Butterfly
Originally uploaded by m.Lee.
I carved this butterfly months ago, didn't print it right away, put it on a shelf and forgot about it. It turned out a lot better than I thought it would printed, the woodgrain pattern on the wing is simply stunning. It has this simple delicate beauty that I think works. I also like how the orange "stain" is focused on the butterfly's body bringing focus to that. It is simply a successful print.

Not feeling much of the art bug today. Spending most of my arty time getting orders ready to ship. Have I ever said how much I hate cutting mat board to ship my pieces in? Hate!
