New Toy

Dremel Stylus
Originally uploaded by m.Lee.
I used some of my PayPal/ Etsy money to pick this pretty new toy up. I had been using a thirty year old Dremel that my father gave me at Christmas time, but this one is so much better. It is comfortable, not awkward to hold.

Using it i carved a block in about an hour and a half that could have easily taken me twenty carved by hand. Sure, I don't have the same control that I have with my hand tools. But that isn't always needed and it wasn't needed in this case.

What I am working on is a 18"x18" pattern block based on a particular kind of coral that looks like hundreds of bubbles squished together. I am loving it so far. I have the Dremel part of the carving done, now I just have to clear a bunch of negative space. Then I can either work on a key block or print.

That's the sexiest Dremel I've ever seen! I WANT ONE! LOL I love the fact that it's cordless, too.

Can't wait to see the new prints.

Thanks. I am really loving it. Don't have new prints with it yet, but I do have the block that I used it on.
