This morning I printed the portrait in brown ink and I like it better than the black. It is softer and suits the image better.
I can't scan this in until my copy of Photoshop Elements arrives in the mail. My trial version expired and I didn't download it from Adobe because I found it on an online shop for 40$ off. I should have it by the time the ink dries.

Very nice! I really like the different textures and the movement in the composition.
Ditto what Kris said. A wonderful variety of textures. I agree with you that the brown ink is softer, more suited to the subject. Nice job.
