Cat Tails v3

Cat Tails v3
Originally uploaded by m.Lee.
Inspired by a print by artist Annie Bisset; about a month ago I undertook carving an 18"x18" honeycomb pattern block. I had no plan on using it for some sort of bee print, I just thought the pattern would work for me. The reason why I made it so big was so I could move the paper to various spots on the same block and get nice layered effects. This is one of the final prints from a pile of prints.

This print is for sale on Etsy.

Beautiful prints...I am so impressed by the quiet beauty in them, the wonderful flow and tones.

I am glad I found your blog.

Hi Marissa. I love the soft colors in the background, the offset overprinting of the honeycombs and the strong silouette of the cattails. This is lovely.

I am honored. Thank you so much.

Thanks Annie for inspiring me to use that pattern. Boy was it a pain to carve, but I knew that it would pay off in the end.
