Crappy stuff like that has been happening for as long as I can remember...and you've been there longer than me.

Even if it's just a break from listing on Etsy, I think you've earned it.
:)becca.elpyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12460767786445822668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19102011.post-63700043600368485892008-12-05T18:00:00.000-05:002008-12-05T18:00:00.000-05:00Yeah, I'm not closing my Etsy shop anytime soon an...Yeah, I'm not closing my Etsy shop anytime soon and don't expect Art Fire to take over the business.

I just need a break from Etsy so no more listing for awhile.

I know that most of my business comes from my own promotion not Etsy exposure, but what they did really ticked me off.

But I was a bit over dramatic by saying "The End".Marissa L. It's sad to me. I've met so many wonderful artists/craftspeople on Etsy, but it's becoming time to move on.

I've registered on Art Fire, were there are already over 5000k jewelry listings to 200 bags and purses. (That's an inescapable problem for me, though.) But I'm not sure how much I want to invest in another group site like that. I hope you do well there. :)becca.elpyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12460767786445822668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19102011.post-29435393275524508082008-12-05T10:39:00.000-05:002008-12-05T10:39:00.000-05:00The African Queen has been one of my faves since y...The African Queen has been one of my faves since you posted it.

Etsy has a great idea, but terrible management. Anyway, I've always been convinced it's a cheap way to maintain a nice looking store, but you have to market it yourself. You can't remotely rely on the website's own traffic for sales.

I'll have to take a look at Art Fire . . .Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
